How does one evaluate ovarian inventory?
1. Ultra-sound
2. Blood collection using Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH).
AMH does not fluctuate with the menstrual cycle.
Cancer patients must be aware when beginning cancer treatment that they may not have enough time to undergo blood collection in accordance with their monthly cycle.
As a result, AMH is better suited to assessing the ovarian inventory of cancer patients.
