The most recent data from cancer registries shows that head and neck cancer is now the third most common form of cancer in men, moving ahead of liver cancer for the first time!Head and neck cancer refers to all cancers of the oral cavity, nasopharynx, larynx, and salivary glands. Patients are predominantly men between the ages of 40 and 60.

Dr. Chun-Hung Hua, Director of the Department of Head and Neck Oncology at China Medical University Hospital, stated, "If head and neck cancer can be detected and treated early, the survival rate can range between 60% and 80%, with a favorable prognosis.

However, the general population is prone to ignoring early symptoms out of fear of treatment, resulting in the majority of patients being in a late stage with a high likelihood of recurrence and metastasis at the time of a confirmed diagnosis.

Head and neck cancer has become more prevalent in younger age groups.
